Anderson Silva wins and puts eye on Jake Paul

Legend Anderson Silva continues to look comfortable in the ring, as he picked up yet another boxing win on Saturday, in a dominant performance in which he defeated Bruno Machado and scored a knockdown in an exhibition bout.

The former UFC middleweight champion is included in the list of possible opponents for Jake Paul’s return, scheduled for August 13. The 25-year-old is ready to touch gloves with someone he considers his idol.

Earlier, Anderson Silva granted words to Sports Illustrated, where he stated that he would be willing to fight Jake Paul and that it is a real option.

“It’s possible. People need to respect the Paul brothers. Those kids are talented, and they’ve opened people’s eyes about the good and bad in combat sports. I’m preparing my body for a challenge. We’ll see what happens”.

Jake Paul has previously confirmed that Anderson Silva is a real option among those on the table to have as a future opponent.

“There could be interest there,” Paul said. “But I want to see the Anderson Silva fight and how he does, how he looks. There are other talks with Mike Tyson and other names under the table so really we’re just looking for the best opportunity”.

For fans of mixed martial arts, Anderson Silva, although already in his veteran stage at 47 years old, would finally be a worthy representative of the sport to face Jake Paul, who has already defeated two former champions like Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren, neither being a striker or a natural boxer.
