‘He’s Never Faced Anyone Like Me’ – Tawanchai Expects To Dethrone Petchmorakot At ONE 161

Tawanchai PK.Saenchai thinks he’s the man to finally unseat reigning ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Petchmorakot Petchyindee.

The surging Thai star has looked incredible since joining the world’s largest martial arts organization, and he could accomplish his ultimate goal at ONE 161 this Thursday, September 29.

Of course, Petchmorakot will also carry plenty of confidence into Thursday’s matchup.

The 28-year-old has been dominant since claiming the featherweight Muay Thai belt in 2020, racking up three World Title defenses and pushing his overall winning streak to seven straight fights.

However, Tawanchai thinks he’s a cut above the reigning king’s previous challengers and plans to prove it in this massive main event at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

He said:

“[Petchmorakot] has defended his World Title multiple times, but he’s never faced anyone like me. I think I can do better than every opponent he’s ever met. And I believe the belt will change its owner this time.

“If I win the World Title, that means my dreams will come true.”

While Tawanchai believes he will claim the throne, he doesn’t expect it to come easily.

He knows the defending World Champion owns a formidable skill set, but he also promises to pose fresh problems in their upcoming showdown.

The PK.Saenchai Muaythaigym representative said:

“Petchmorakot is hard to fight with. He is tough, unweary, and aggressive. So, I can’t be careless when I fight with him.

“So far, none of his opponents have had the same fighting style like me. In this upcoming fight, he will see me as his toughest challenger and he will face unexpected difficulties. I’ll do my best, and I see a chance that the belt will be mine.

“I have prepared many surprises for him, but I’ll reveal them on the night the in Circle.”
